A house on the beach, on a secluded island of Cyclades, on a 5000 sq. meter lot. Ideal for a family or anybody really with a taste for a little bit of solitude, as it encompasses its own cove 20 meters from the house itself. The island is accessible daily by ferryboats from Piraeus and neighboring Naxos. Koufonnisia where the house is located consists of two small islands a few square kilometers each. North Kofonnissi (also referred as Pano-Upper Koufonnisi) has 296 permanent residents. While the southern Koufonnisi (also referred to as Kato-Lower Kou and the port of Pano (Upper) Koufonnisi. What makes the place unique is its own beach and also due to the archaeological interest construction is restricted to existing buildings that are guaranteed permanency by the Archaeological Service of Greece, which ensures that the solitude of the place will remain as it is.fonnisi) where the house is located is 500 meters due south of the northern island, and has hardly any permanent residents in the winter time and in the summer about 10. The house on the northern shore of Kato (Lower) Koufonnisi is directly opposite of the village. The House It consists of two bedrooms and a large single place which encompasses a kitchen, the dining room, and the living room. It also has a hallway and a bathroom. There are two verandas; a small open-air one with a view of the Pano Koufonnisi, Glaronnisi (Seagull Island) Keros, and further away Amorgos. The second two-level veranda is a large covered one, and tiled with marble slabs. It is surrounded by five outside arches enclosed by window panes, and three interior arches that separate the upper and lower levels of the veranda. There are three entrances to the house; the main entrance from the beach side and through the covered veranda. An entrance from the smaller open-air veranda next to the dinning room and t he other from the kitchen. There is 35-ton fresh water cistern and a septic tank. There is a propane stove and refrigerator in the kitchen and oil lanterns illuminate the house. However if the new owner wishes to have electric power to the house the option exists. The small cove, which also acts as the small harbor, connects the house to Pano Koufonnisi and the amenities of “civilization” services, nightlife and shopping are just one kilometer away. In the summertime when the weather is fine visitors stop by the South Koufonnisi and are treated to the fine food of a taverna located approximately one kilometer away from the house. The taverna is famous for its daily baked bread. There is a continuous stream of small boats (caiques) throughout the day providing transportation between the two island well into the night, with the last one leaving at about midnight (depending on the party mood of the patrons of the taverna.)
